Dolls House - Saucepan

from A World in Miniature

This handmade enameled saucepan is from  a  trip to Scotland in 1997. It is bought in A World in Miniature in Oban, Argyll.
David and Vanessa Kilpatrick started to collect miniatures in 1983. When we visited ,there were more than 50 displays in the exhibition.
The museum is no longer there. The collection has passed to Bob Gault and can now be visited at :
A World in Miniature Museum, Houghton Hall Garden Center, Houghton, Carlisle
It was amazing to see how detailed the objects were. Some pieces of furniture had taken more than 1000 hours to make. The scale is 1:12. It is possible to see some of the exhibition by clicking on this   link, but it is definitely worth seeing in real life.
