When Aurora's mother re-married, Aurora got two stepbrothers with wives and children. In this  novel one of Aurora's sisters-in-law are murdered. Both the sister-in-law and the stepbrother have had a lot of  extramarital affairs, so there are many suspects when the sister-in-law, Poppy, is found stabbed to death. Roes half brother turns up, He has run away from home and comes and lives with Aurora. The relationship with the author, Robin, is also evolving.

This  was no. 8 in the Aurora Teagarden series.
