16 -year old Lina is going to spend the summer in Tuscany. Her mother has died of cancer 6 months earlier, and Lina has promised she will go to Italy and stay with Howard. She doesn't look forward to this, and wish to go back to America as fast as possible, but she receives her mother's diary from the time she lived in Italy. Lina begins to visit the places and find some of the people mentioned in the diary. It is a cute book with lovely descriptions of Tuscany, Florence and Italian food, Two love stories in two generations.A cosy and funny read despite the serious background.
It was also nice to read descriptions of places we have been. Back then we stayed at camping Toscana Village in Montopoli, but also visited Florence, and here are a picture from the campsite and from places mentioned in the book.
